In the space of one hour, my entire digital life was destroyed. First my
Google account was taken over, then deleted. Next my Twitter account
was compromised, and used as a platform to broadcast racist and
homophobic messages. And worst of all, my AppleID account was broken
into, and my hackers used it to remotely erase all of the data on my
iPhone, iPad, and MacBook.

Everyone is talking about moving some of their services to the cloud.
However, who is responsible for the management of the services that will
operate in a cloud environment?  Who is responsible for identifying the
elements of the agreement? What type of agreement should be in place?
These are all questions that should be asked and understood before
moving a service to the cloud.

Until recently, a vulnerability in Amazon Web Services
including the EC2 cloud allowed unauthorised users to perform administrative tasks.

The OASIS international open standards consortium has begun work to define a set of standardized protocols that online service providers may use to elevate trust when authenticating electronic identity credentials. The goal of the new OASIS Electronic Identity Credential Trust Elevation Methods (Trust Elevation) Technical Committee is to extend interoperability among online service providers (such as banks and health care providers) and make e-transactions easier for end users.
