Public Review of ebMS Transport Binding for Digital Signature Services

OASIS is conducting a public review of the ebXML Messaging Transport Binding for Digital Signature Services version 1.0, which has been approved by the consortium's Digital Signature Services eXtended (DSS-X) Technical Committee as a Committee Draft. The specification defines an alternative transport binding for the DSS Core standard that uses the OASIS ebXML Messaging Service. This profile is compatible with ebMS 2.0 and 3.0. The public review is open from 30 May to 29 August 2008. OASIS seeks feedback from potential users, developers and all other interested parties.

XRI TC Posts Updated XRI 2.0 FAQ

The OASIS XRI TC has posted an updated FAQ on the XRI 2.0 specifications, which include XRI Syntax 2.0 and XRI Resolution 2.0 (the latter covering XRDS discovery documents). The FAQ also covers the use of XRI and XRDS with popular open source digital identity frameworks such as OpenID and the Higgins Project.

OASIS IDtrust Member Section Announces New Steering Committee Members

The OASIS IDtrust Member Section (MS), http://www.oasis-idtrust.org/, is pleased to announce the newly elected members of the IDtrust MS Steering Committee. Jung Leung and John Bradley have been elected to serve two year terms and Anil Saldhana of Red Hat has been elected to serve a one year term.

Member Ballot for OASIS Extensible Resource Identifier (XRI) Specification

OASIS announced that the Extensible Resource Identifier (XRI) Technical Committee has submitted two specifications for consideration by the membership as OASIS Standards.  Balloting will begin on May 16, 2008 and extend through the end of the month.
